How to Add and Delete a User in Samba on Linux featured image

Add a Samba User

sudo adduser username
sudo smbpasswd -a username

Edit Samba Config

sudo nano /etc/samba/smb.conf

Add: [shared] path=/srv/samba valid users=username read only=no

Restart Samba

sudo systemctl restart smbd

Delete a User

sudo smbpasswd -x username
